Raytheon Wins $2.4 Billion Sole-Source Missile Contract

The Department of Defense has announced that Raytheon Co., of Andover, Massachusetts, has been awarded a $2,397,211,870 fixed-price-incentive, foreign military sales, sole-source contract for 10 PATRIOT fire units with spares for the State of Qatar.

Work will be performed in Camden, Arkansas; Santa Fe Springs, California; Andover, Massachusetts; Greece; and Poland, with an estimated completion date of April 30, 2019.

The Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal (Missile), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.

Army Announces $1.3 Billion in Helicopter Purchases from Sikorsky

The Department of Defense has announced that the Department of the Army has issued two contract modifications to Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., of Stratford, Connecticut.

The first modification, valued at $771,957,753, is for 41 UH-60M helicopters, 24 HH-60M helicopters, and associated support functions.

The other modification, valued at $535,336,328, provides funding for the Navy’s fourth program year for 8MH-60S helicopters and 29 MH-60R helicopters. This modification also funds associated sustaining engineering, program management, systems engineering, provisioning, technical publications, other integrated logistics support.
