The FAR Councils issued FAC 2005-55 with seven rules earlier this week. Most of the changes were administrative in nature (website updates to reflect SAM instead of CCR and ORCA, etc), but there was one substantive change. FAR 52.209-9 regarding publicly available information maintained by the government on government contractors was updated with some wording related to contractors receiving notification and “grievance” procedures.
These changes will show up in the January edition of the FAR book. Two of the rules went into effect at the beginning of this week. Other clauses updated are: FAR 52.202-1, FAR 52.212-3, FAR 52.212-5, FAR 52.219-22 and FAR 52.228-11.
