Boeing Awarded $1.16 Billion Contract for AH-64E Apache Helicopters

The Department of Defense has awarded Boeing Co., of Mesa, Arizona, a $1,156,446,681 contract modification for full rate production of the AH-64E Apache helicopter, including 72 remanufactured helicopter systems and 10 new helicopter systems.

The work also includes refreshing five crew trainers, refurbishing one crew trainer, integrated logistics support, peculiar ground support equipment, initial spares, over and above work, and engineering studies.

The estimated completion date of the contract is June 30, 2016. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.
