Boards Continue to Receive Filings during Shutdown

Both the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals and the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals will continue to accept filings during the government shutdown. The ASBCA’s Recorder’s Office will remain open to docket filings while government operations are curtailed. The CBCA will also remain open for the purpose of accepting filings. The CBCA’s website expressly cautions parties that any statutory limitations on the time within which a filing may be made will not be waived or tolled during this period. However, with the exception of statutory deadlines, each judge has the discretion to modify the deadlines established in a specific case that occur during and after this period.
